I find it interesting how differently Kurapika and the Tserriednich store the eyes of the Kurta-clan. This likely reflects how Kurapika and the Prince view them.

Kurapika seems to keep them in the basemen in a section, that is entirely dedicated to them. The burning candle light, angles statues, portrayal of people praying and the flowers surrounding the place, gives the space a holy and divine feeling. It gives the impression of an altar, that has been constructed in memory and honor of Kurapika´s fallen clan members.

Kurapika sits in front of the alter facing and directly looking at it, while pondering  that he no longer has a home, or people to greet or welcome. In an earlier chapter while everyone else seemed to have a relaxed and calm moment, Kurapika ignored a call from Leorio, and instead sat in darkness, looking at the memento of his fallen brothers. I think these speak the volumes of dedication and resolution Kurapika has for this quest, and how he seems to have at least for now, forsaken everything else in order to complete it.

Now Tserriednich sits in a chair in front of them as well, but he has his back turned on the eyes. Also the scarlet eyes are not alone, but surrounded by other odd collections of “artworks”. Body parts, torsos a head etc.. are present.

This to me signals that while Tserriendnich might value the scarlet eyes as beautiful pieces of art, in the end they are just one fascinating object/item to add into his collection. They are just an artwork in his collection of other artworks.

Also what fascinates me is that Tserriendich sits his back turned onto them, in a fabulous looking chair. This to me reflects that the artworks, the eyes included, are there for him. They are supposed to speak about him, his affection towards art, and about his brilliance as a person. They are probably supposed to impress those who visit him.

So while Kurapika dedicates a whole section for the eyes only, and faces them directly, in Tserriendich case, the eyes are there to serve him.
